22nd April 2016
I hope to put into good record of what
God inspires me in my heart. First, to help me appreciate God’s presence and
work in my life daily. Second, to grow my writing skills. Third, as a legacy on
earth after my life is over since have been encouraged by reading many books of
men and women who have gone before us to our God. To the theologians like my
man Moses and others who may come across my writings, while I really appreciate
and am delighted by the importance of understanding the Bible passages in their
context I may not do expository justice to the passages since am writing more
out of my heart and my daily life experience with my God.
The idea to begin this blog was put in
my heart on 19th April 2016. Though I wrote my first and only blog
on 19th September 2012 at a Hald Christian international school in
Mandal, Norway. We were helped to create a blog which we were expected to post
our cross cultural experiences. Unfortunately I tried writing thereafter but I
was not able though most of my class mates did write. I am however grateful
since 4 years later I feel inspired to begin to blog. I hope this will go a
long way to become a hobby, skill and discipline to cultivate and grow. Thank
you may very good teachers at Hald for creating this awareness.
On 19th April 2016, I was
travelling to visit my grandpa at Embu hospital after undergoing an eye
surgery. That morning I had a wonderful 1 hour devotions between 5:10-6:10 am.
I was reminded of the importance of spending some time in silence after praying
and reading the Bible to allow God speak to me. After I felt the urge to blog,
noted on my phone the areas I felt I should begin writing. One day later, when
I was supposed to start editing my thesis I did not feel like and I decided to
begin typing on the computer before I could create a blog.
